Prosthetics & Orthotics Work flow

At Ibn Sina Group, the Prosthetics and Orthotics workflow begins with a comprehensive patient referral and clinical assessment conducted by a certified prosthetist/orthotist in collaboration with the medical team. Detailed evaluation, measurements, and gait or functional analysis are performed to identify the patient’s physical needs and treatment goals. Based on the assessment, an individualized treatment plan is developed, followed by precise casting, scanning, or measurement for device fabrication. The prosthesis or orthosis is then designed, manufactured, and assembled using advanced materials and technologies. After fabrication, fitting and alignment sessions are conducted to ensure comfort, functionality, and safety. Patient education and training are provided to support proper use, care, and rehabilitation. The workflow concludes with scheduled follow-up visits for adjustments, outcome evaluation, and long-term maintenance to ensure optimal performance and patient satisfaction.

Consultation

The workflow begins with a comprehensive consultation where the prosthetist/orthotist evaluates the patient’s medical history, physical condition, functional needs, and treatment goals in coordination with the referring physician and rehabilitation team.

Measurement

Following consultation, precise measurements are taken using casting, scanning, and manual measurement techniques to ensure accurate anatomical fit. Functional and biomechanical assessments are conducted to support optimal device design.

Manufacturing

The prosthesis or orthosis is custom-designed and manufactured in-house at Ibn Sina Group’s dedicated Prosthetics and Orthotics workshop. This facility is the only private workshop specialized exclusively in Prosthetics and Orthotics, ensuring full quality control, advanced fabrication techniques, and timely delivery of customized devices.

Fitting

The final stage involves fitting, alignment, and functional testing of the prosthesis or orthosis. Necessary adjustments are made to ensure comfort, safety, and performance before the device is officially handed over. Patients receive education on proper use, care, and follow-up requirements to support long-term outcomes.
